The December edition of the Independent Electrical Retailer Magazine is now available and has a 2 page coverage (pages 12 & 13) of the acclaimed November 2011 DASA Conference.
The Conference, hailed as the best event for years, has received praise from all sectors of the industry and a cry for more events addressing the issues surrounding the provision of ‘Service’ by independent service engineers.
As well as an elevation of the image of DASA, membership has increased with a clamour to be part of the new dynamic and forward thinking group, from repairers wanting to be involved through to Manufacturers and Suppliers who appreciate the importance of dialogue with the ‘best engineers in the industry’.

As we approach the end of a productive year for the Association we look forward to continuing our progress in 2012. The Annual Conference at Peterborough in November was well attended and, judging from the positive feed back, was favourably received. The participation of several appliance manufacturers and other key sector organisations, at the conference, demonstrated the relationships we are building within the Industry.
I hope that the membership will continue to support the Association and as we try to find solutions for the challenges faced by the domestic appliance service industry.

The 2011 DASA AGM Conference has been voted a huge success. Many delegates have expressed their delight at what was an enjoyable day of information, views and thought provoking presentations, delivered to a packed hall. Manufacturers and suppliers provided exclusive offers to those attending and the separate exhibition hall was often bursting with delegates discussing their requirements and networking.
More, more, more seems to be the response as DASA addresses solutions to the problems that face the independent repairer and strives to gain appropriate recognition for the skills of the industry.
There is not a more exciting time to play a part as a member, or associate member, and with a new year about to start, why not join and engage in the activities and reap the benefits of the debates being held on behalf of DASA members. Independent Electrical Retailer magazine is reporting on the Conference in the December issue and this is a start of a dialog with independent electrical retailers about the value of service to their operations.
DASA now needs feedback from all who attended the Conference so the they can better represent its members in soliciting greater recognition, more work and just rewards, as well as providing the service that its members both want and deserve. Independent Electrical Retailer magazine announces the forthcoming DASA Conference on the front page of their website under ‘Industry News’ dated 5th October 2011.
They go on to say delegates will hear presenters “demonstrate how to maximize profitability and deal with falling revenues.” along with an opportunity “to network and take advantage of special deals only available at the conference”
