Notice is hereby given that the Annual General Meeting of the Domestic Appliance Service Association
Will be held at the Queensgate Hotel Peterborough on the7th of October 2010.
Details of the AGM will be in the next Issue of the Orbit and also posted in the forums.
The membership will receive an invitation to the AGM with their copy of the Orbit.
Nominations for Officer/Council will be accepted by the Secretary in writing or e-mail Via DASA admin up To ten days prior to the event (where possible).

Membership on the Increase
This week we have eight applications for membership and
Two requests to become associate members.
The current climate over the decline in repair charges has given a boost to
Membership requests perhaps?
It could also be as a result of our recent recruitment drive!

With regard to the Extraordinary meeting that was to be held on the 7th of July concerning repair rates
This issue will now be placed on the agenda of the Council meeting that is to be held on the 8th.
A statement will be made regarding the concerns of the membership in due course.

I have been asked by a representative of some of the membership to organise an extraordinary meeting to be held prior to the 8th July council meeting to discuss fadeing terms, service rates and engineer recruitment.
It has been suggested that the meeting be open to attendance to all and not just being restricted to DASA members.
The meeting could be held either in the afternoon or evening of 7th July and would be arranged subject to the numbers wishing to attend being adequate.
I would appreciate a quick response and depending on the interest shown I will give further details of the time and venue of the meeting. You can contact me here.
